Puzzle Royale Cinematic Trailer
Jesse Haugen's music in noOne Studio's cinematic trailer for the computer game, "Puzzle Royale," features the Budapest Scoring Orchestra in an epic and emotional fantasy score that brings to life the world of the game and its characters.
Boy No Fear
This stunning film directed by Jonathan Curtiss has been lauded for its poignant exploration of fear in an immersive African setting. Jesse Haugen's score serves as an impactful and integral part of this through its use of traditional Ugandan performers, its blend of diagetic and scored musical moments, and its undeniable "character" which feels as much a part of the film as the intimate performances and dramatic setting. This film is still on its festival journey and has recently been accepted to the 2025 Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles.
Poulette's Chair
For the first ever Indie Film Music Contest, Jesse Haugen re-scored the beautiful anime short film, "Poulette's Chair," receiving 1st place in the competition for his intimate, expressive, and dynamic score. His YouTube deep-dive on the score has become a meaningful touchpoint for aspiring composers all over the world and is an excellent display of his creative process and how he crafts music specifically for a project and the story being told.
Blue Delta Ad Campaign
For BrandBossHQ's ad campaign for Blue Delta, Jesse Haugen created 3 boutique musical tracks to match the vibe, style, and message of Blue Delta's "One Size Fits One" series of video and radio ads. Hiring top session musicians in Nashville and LA, Jesse wrote and produced 3 unique tracks with distinctive character that all still share the same DNA of Americana roots and blue denim BABY!
Frelse
Featuring captivating fiddle, duduk, bansuri, and gemshorn soloists as well as the Budapest Scoring String Orchestra, Jesse Haugen's score to Lance Witmer's film, "Frelse," takes you deep into a world of fantasy, darkness, hope, love, and the struggles of family. This score also had the honor of winning "Best Film Score" at the 2023 Pasadena International Film Festival.
All Of Us
For Black Rain's brilliant film, "All Of Us," Jesse Haugen created a genre-bending score. Taking an anachronistic approach, Jesse channeled elements of American westerns and blues music in a 50s British gangster setting. The result is an undeniable vibe that adds to the story and gives the characters a sense of coolness and drama.
Catching Up
LS Mark's pilot for his original cartoon show, "Catching Up," features a fun, jazzy score by Jesse Haugen that pays homage to classic cartoon scores while retaining his modern scoring sensibilities. Jesse also created a YouTube video that explains his approach to scoring the pilot that provides key insight into his thought proceess and musical technique.
